And we are back!

I think the title of this blog was a little too accurate!  Let's see, Gibson turned 1, started walking and shortly thereafter started running and has not stopped!  He is almost 22 months old.  He still has allergies, but his asthma (brought on by RSV) has cleared up.  Since he got tubes, he has only had one ear infection.  He is tall, handsome, joyful little boy who lights up my world (and wears me out completely!)

We moved to Irving and I started my fifth year of teaching, 3rd year in Irving.  I started my Master's degree in September.  Danny and my divorce was finalized in December.  He is in Colorado so we don't get to see him.  In March, I found out I would not be teaching at Gilbert next year so I have been actively looking for a new position.  It's been a crazy year!  I'll leave ya with some of my favorite shots from the few months.

Catching up

So much to catch up on!  Gibson is almost 11 months old!  He is crawling and walking the walls around the house.  He has 6 teeth, 4 on top, 2 on bottom.  He is eating people food, not just baby food.  He still isn't talking but he is so expressive.  I gave him his first haircut... we will be going to a professional from now on :) We will be moving to Irving soon.  I'm excited to start a new life that will just be ours.  I can't wait to leave this house!  Here are some pictures to catch ya up.

Please excuse the lack of clothing on my child in the above pictures.  With how much he is drooling plus for a while the ridiculous amount of snot from all his congestion (he gets tubes next saturday, hopefully that will help), I got tired of changing bibs and onsies and decided to just let him roam free!

Gibson's Pictures

Picture time!

I bought a Living Social deal a while back for photos at Studio One Photography.  Tomorrow is our appointment and I'm so excited!  Gibson is at such a cute age.  I'm so lucky to have a healthy, happy little boy.

On a sad note, I decided to find a new home for my dog Sam.  I got Sam five years ago when I was in college.  I was really depressed and Sam sorta saved me.  She deserves so much more love and attention than I am able to give her right now.  I am sad to see her go, but I'm glad to have found her a good home.

I'm remodeling my kitchen... by myself.  Am I crazy?  Maybe.  I did the floor already and I've taken the doors off and sanded them.  Now I just need to paint them and try to find a countertop solution.  This is a cheap remodel.  I am trying to do the whole kitchen for under $500.  So far, so good.  One can of appliance paint, a countertop... done!  Then I just need to refinish all the hardwoods, deep clean and stage and I will be ready to put it on the market!  Can't wait to have a shorter commute!

This and that

Well February off to a snowy start!  5 days off school so far... that's crazy!  We put a pallet in the living room and pulled out a box of toys Gibson hadn't seen yet. 

The dumptruck was his favorite toy out of the whole box full of things that whistle, sing, and light up.

Then tonight, I put him in his big boy pajamas!

Snow Days!

4 Snow days!  That's unheard of!  My house mainly just had ice... until this morning.  4 inches!  I decided to bundle up Gibson and take him outside. 

All bundled up wondering what in the world is going on!

You can hardly see it but there is an icicle hanging from the corner of the porch that's about 2" in diameter and about 2' long!

What's all this white stuff?  Why am I in the bumbo? 

I'm not happy, I'm stuffed in this outfit and in my bumbo and you just keep taking my picture!

Worn out!

Gibson is hanging on to this cold!  Daycare called Wednesday for me to pick up Gibson.  Mom came down to watch him Thursday and Friday and take him back to the doctor on Friday.  He got two more perscriptions... he can't go back to daycare until after his next doctor's appointment on Wednesday.  Since I am out of school Monday, we are just hanging out here and my mom will be back on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Please pray for my little boy, his cough sounds awful and he just isn't himself...
