I bought a Living Social deal a while back for photos at Studio One Photography. Tomorrow is our appointment and I'm so excited! Gibson is at such a cute age. I'm so lucky to have a healthy, happy little boy.

On a sad note, I decided to find a new home for my dog Sam. I got Sam five years ago when I was in college. I was really depressed and Sam sorta saved me. She deserves so much more love and attention than I am able to give her right now. I am sad to see her go, but I'm glad to have found her a good home.

I'm remodeling my kitchen... by myself. Am I crazy? Maybe. I did the floor already and I've taken the doors off and sanded them. Now I just need to paint them and try to find a countertop solution. This is a cheap remodel. I am trying to do the whole kitchen for under $500. So far, so good. One can of appliance paint, a countertop... done! Then I just need to refinish all the hardwoods, deep clean and stage and I will be ready to put it on the market! Can't wait to have a shorter commute!

This and that

Well February off to a snowy start! 5 days off school so far... that's crazy! We put a pallet in the living room and pulled out a box of toys Gibson hadn't seen yet.

The dumptruck was his favorite toy out of the whole box full of things that whistle, sing, and light up.

Then tonight, I put him in his big boy pajamas!

Snow Days!

4 Snow days! That's unheard of! My house mainly just had ice... until this morning. 4 inches! I decided to bundle up Gibson and take him outside.

All bundled up wondering what in the world is going on!

You can hardly see it but there is an icicle hanging from the corner of the porch that's about 2" in diameter and about 2' long!

What's all this white stuff? Why am I in the bumbo?

I'm not happy, I'm stuffed in this outfit and in my bumbo and you just keep taking my picture!

Worn out!

Gibson is hanging on to this cold! Daycare called Wednesday for me to pick up Gibson. Mom came down to watch him Thursday and Friday and take him back to the doctor on Friday. He got two more perscriptions... he can't go back to daycare until after his next doctor's appointment on Wednesday. Since I am out of school Monday, we are just hanging out here and my mom will be back on Tuesday and Wednesday. Please pray for my little boy, his cough sounds awful and he just isn't himself...

Gibbs on the Mend...

Seems like all the travel and weather finally caught up with baby boy. He hasn't run a fever, but he has this horrible cough for about a week. Breathing treatments, chest PT, antibiotic ran out, started oral steriod that he really doesn't like, red cheeks, screaming fits during treatment.... I don't like having a sick baby! Its so sad! He gets so sleepy he practically falls into me and he wants to fight sleep but he doesn't have the energy so he just curls against my chest as the cry gets quieter and slower and his eyes finally slow. I sit there rocking him and holding him and marvel at how big he has gotten in these past six months. He's only 6 inches longer, but he weighs 12 pounds more than when we brought him home. He just seems like he is ginormous compared to that little man! I know a couple people who have had babies this week and its just making me a little sad to see my little boy growing up so quickly! And him being sick just adds to it! But overall, I have everything in the world to be thankful for... except for this bad cold, Gibson is healthy and a very happy little baby boy!

I will try to pick my favorites! I took Gibson to Texarkana to have Christmas Eve with his father and the Easterlings and then on to Sherman for the rest of the holidays with the Nickels!
